Manual Lymphatic Drainage/Oncology (MLD)

A specialised, gentle treatment using slow, rhythmic movements to encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid throughout the body.

Unlike traditional massage, MLD uses very light pressure because the lymphatic vessels are located just beneath the skin. The techniques are designed to work with the lymphatic system rather than applying deep pressure.

As a qualified Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapist with additional oncology training, I am trained to provide MLD for oncology clients where medically appropriate, following individual assessment and relevant clinical guidelines.

What happens during your appointment?

Your treatment begins with a consultation to understand your health, medical history, current concerns and treatment goals. This allows the treatment to be adapted to your individual needs.

Where appropriate, a personalised aromatherapy blend may be incorporated into the treatment to complement your wellbeing goals and nourish the skin.

The treatment is performed using gentle, slow and rhythmic movements, with pressure adapted to your individual needs.
