Luxury Aromatherapy Practice

About

Meet Dina, Founder of Luxury Aromatherapy Practice

Originally from Latvia, I have called the UK home for more than 13 years. My professional journey has taken a few unexpected turns. I qualified and worked in accounting and finance, but my fascination with healthcare and the human body started much earlier. After leaving school, I studied medicine, and although I eventually followed a different career path, that interest never really left me.

Becoming a therapist brought those two sides of me together: my analytical nature and my fascination with the human body.

Why Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is my real passion.

I love essential oils not simply because they smell beautiful, but because there is so much to learn about them. I enjoy researching their properties, understanding how they may complement different treatment approaches and creating individual blends rather than reaching for the same bottle for everyone.

I am equally fascinated by crystals and their place within holistic wellbeing, which is why Crystal Healing is also part of my practice.

For me, holistic therapy doesn’t have to mean abandoning logic. I believe there is room for curiosity, traditional holistic practices, professional training and an evidence-informed approach to exist alongside one another.

How I Work

I don’t believe in a “one treatment fits all” approach.

Before treatment, I take time to understand the person sitting in front of me — their health history, lifestyle, current concerns and what they actually want to achieve. From there, I select the most appropriate treatment approach and, where suitable, create a bespoke essential oil blend specifically for them.

My qualifications are not simply certificates collected after attending a weekend course. My professional training has included diploma-level qualifications with practical learning and case studies, because completing real case studies and seeing how clients respond was important to me when developing my skills.

I am a registered member of both the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA), and I continue to develop my knowledge through further training and research.

My Philosophy

My aim isn’t to keep someone coming back indefinitely because they feel they cannot manage without treatment.

I would much rather help a client understand their body, recognise what may be contributing to how they feel and make informed choices that support their wellbeing outside the treatment room too.

Of course, sometimes regular treatment is beneficial — but I believe the ultimate goal should be progress, not dependency.

I also believe the body needs to be looked at as a whole. Stress, sleep, muscular tension, fatigue, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing can all influence how we feel, and focusing on one symptom without considering the bigger picture can sometimes miss what is really going on.

My Vision for the Future

Luxury Aromatherapy Practice is something I am building with a much bigger vision in mind.

My goal is to create a successful, evidence-informed holistic practice where different areas of expertise can work together rather than operating separately.

One day, I would love to create a clinic where holistic therapists, professional aromatherapists, herbalists, naturopaths and other complementary practitioners can work under one roof, sharing knowledge and referring clients to the person best suited to their individual needs.

I believe collaboration is one of the most valuable things we can bring to holistic healthcare. No one practitioner can know everything, and I would rather build a network of professionals who complement one another than pretend that one person can provide every answer.

For now, Luxury Aromatherapy Practice is my own small space — but the vision is much bigger.

What Matters to Me

I care about doing things properly.

I care about the quality of the essential oils I use, the training behind each treatment, the consultation before putting hands on a client and the reasoning behind the treatment I choose.

I care about continuing to learn, questioning what I read, researching unusual conditions and finding ways to make treatments genuinely individual.

And perhaps most importantly, I care about the person, not just the appointment.

Luxury Aromatherapy Practice is built around personalised care, professional development, aromatherapy, holistic therapies and the belief that good therapy should help people move forward — not keep them dependent on the therapist.
